LAWRENCE  E.  KONRADY , 92, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at his residence.

Private family graveside services will be held on Friday at the Odebolt Cemetery in Odebolt, Iowa. Pastor Nelson Jenkins will officiate. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Odebolt American Legion. Public visitation with the family present will be on Thursday, August 22nd from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Lawrence was born on June 8, 1932 at Odebolt, Iowa to Edward F. & Clara (Peterson) Konrady. He attended Odebolt Schools. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1952- 1956.

Lawrence was a Disabled American Veteran and was a member of the American Legion.

He enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, going gambling every Sunday, and socializing with his friends. He loved showing off his basketball skills to anybody who would stop and watch.  He also liked to feed the squirrels out of his hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward & Clara Konrady of Odebolt, Iowa, a brother Richard Allen Konrady and his wife Carol of Spencer, Iowa, and a great nephew Cody.

He is survived by his three nephews: Rick Konrady and his wife Cindy of Spencer, Iowa; Larry Konrady and his wife Wendy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Matt Konrady and his wife Missie of Spencer, Iowa; many great and great great nieces and nephews; his special friend Shawn Carlson of Cherokee, Iowa; also other relatives and many friends.
