LISA ANN HUNTER WILSON , 37, of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 in the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 25 ^th , at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee. Rev. Magrey deVega will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. There will be a family prayer service at 1:15 p.m. at the church on Friday. Lisa was born February 26, 1977 in Des Moines, Iowa to Michael D. and Nancy (Clark) Hunter. She attended Jefferson – Scranton schools graduating in the Class of 1995. She attended Iowa State University for one year and then attended Iowa Central Community College graduating with a degree in Radiation Technology. She was married to Andrew Wilson on March 18, 2010. She had lived in Cherokee for several years, prior to this in Des Moines for five years, Fort Dodge for two years and Jefferson for 18 years. She had worked at Penn Medical Family Care Center, Danny's Sport Spot and Allender/Jewett Chiropractic Clinic in Cherokee. She had also owned and operated the L.A. Centre of Dance for one year. She was affiliated with the RLDS Church. She was active in the Out of Harms Way Animal Shelter. She was a mother and homemaker and enjoyed dance and painting

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Clyde Clark & Myrle Clark Brooks and paternal grandparents Marvel and Virginia Hunter.

She is survived by her husband Andrew and her three year old son Drew Michael Wilson of Cherokee, Iowa; her parents Michael & Nancy Hunter of Cherokee, Iowa; one sister Colette (Fabrizio) Labate of Colorado Springs, Colorado, maternal step-grandfather Vernon Brooks of Fort Dodge, Iowa; also several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
