Lloyd was born on August 21, 1930 to Ardie and Ellen (Law) Keck at Washta, Iowa. He graduated from Grand Meadow in 1949. He served in the United States Army as a corporal from 1953-1955 in the infantry division. He met the love of his life, Colleen Griffith before leaving for the service and after returning home, he was united in marriage to her on April 15, 1955 at the Kingsley Methodist Church.
Lloyd worked as a farmer his entire life, planting and harvesting his crops and raising cattle. Even after his retirement at the age of 90, he could still be found checking in on the farm, walking beans, and worrying about the weather and the rain.
Lloyd was a member of the Washta Church of Faith. He also was a member of the V.F.W. and the Rocking K Saddle Club.
In his free time, Lloyd cherished being with his family. He enjoyed gardening and flowers. Lloyd and Colleen spent 30 winters in Arizona, getting away from the cold weather and also loved spending time in Okoboji, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Kenneth Keck and brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Carolyn Keck.
Lloyd will lovingly be remembered by the love of his life, Colleen Keck of Washta, Iowa; four children, Allan Keck of Yankton, South Dakota, Lowell Keck of Trimble, Missouri, Julie (John) Curtiss of Larkspur, Colorado, and Sandra (Kevin) Schubert of Bedford, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
