LLOYD  L.  STINES  JR. 62, of Quimby, Iowa, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Unity Point Health-St. Luke's in Sioux City, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church in Correctionville, Iowa.  Rev. Carl K. Benge will officiate. Lloyd was born on February 2, 1959 at Cherokee, Iowa to Lloyd and Arlene (Birtwell) Stines Sr. He attended Correctionville Schools and later receiving his G.E.D. from Washington High School in Cherokee. He was married to Julie Mahnke on May 6, 1978 in Cherokee, iowa. Julie passed away on November 3, 1981. He was later married to Beverley Storey on May 27, 1995 at Apache Junction, Arizona.

Lloyd had worked for Simonsen's in Quimby for several years, Scottsdale Unified School District in Scottsdale, Arizona for 17 years, and for Tyson's in Storm Lake for about 5 years until failing health required him to retire in 2011.

He enjoyed watching game shows on TV, news, politics, his pets (Rexxie and Rowlf who have passed on) Rambo and Ruby and his grandpups Roxy and and Rin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Julie, and two sisters Toni Castaneda and Geneva Pocock.

He is survived by Beverley, three children: Lloyd Robert Stines of Cherokee, Iowa; Molly LeeAnn Stines and Adam Howard Stines of Quimby, Iowa; step-daughter Michelle Laura Kuhaneck of Quimby, Iowa; five grandchildren: Matthew, Brianna, Katherine, Hannah and Charlotte Stines; one great granddaughter Blakely Kirby;  brother Rick (Kathy) Stines of Meriden, Iowa; sister Vicki (Duane) Twite of Correctionville, Iowa; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
