LOUISE F. BUGH, 86, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Sunday morning, February 12, 2012 in the Careage Hills.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 16th, at 2 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Rev. Magrey deVega will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee. It was Louise's wishes to be cremated. Louise was born August 4, 1925 in rural Aurelia, Iowa to Clyde and Geneva (Sexton) Fox. She attended Afton Township Country School #6 and graduated from Aurelia High School in 1943. She was married to Clayton G. Bugh on January 16, 1952 at Canton, South Dakota. Louise had been a resident of Cherokee and Cherokee County all her life. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, was a former Sunday School Teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher and had been Church Circle Chairwoman. She was a member of the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and enjoyed knitting caps for new born babies. She enjoyed collecting dolls, knitting, ball games, flowers and yard work.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clayton on January 24, 1986, and a brother Bill Fox.
She is survived by one son: Steven Bugh of Cherokee, Iowa; one sister Tena Mae Galvin and her husband Charlie of Aurelia, Iowa; a sister-in-law Norma Fox of Aurelia, Iowa; very special friends: Don & Jeanne Blackstone and family.
