LYNN D. RHOADS , 76, of Cherokee, Iowa, went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2020.

Private graveside services will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Jean Morse will officiate. There will be no visitation. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences can be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Lynn was born on July 27, 1944 to Ewald and Dorothy (Bennett) Theidel. She was married to Dale H. Rhoads on February 24, 1973 in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Lynn had been a longtime teacher in the community, specializing in Speech Pathology. She enjoyed her students, the community theatre, bible studies, and her friends.

She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She had been a state past president of the Alpha Delta Kappa International Teacher's sorority. She was also a member of the Retired School Personnel Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale Rhoads in 2001, and a sister Nancy Williamson.

She is survived by a few distant relatives and her friends here in Cherokee.
