MARCELLA  ANNE   CLINE, 96, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Methodist Manor Nursing Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.  Pastor Barb Dinelli will officiate.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee, Iowa.  Public visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 3 - 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com .

Marcella was born on August 27, 1926 to Howard and Anne (Reddington) Krout at Cherokee, Iowa.  She was married to Robert P. Cline on September 22, 1946 at LeMars, Iowa.  She was a waitress at Sweezey's Hamburger Shop and then worked as a seamstress for Hope's Fashion Farm. Marcella was a homemaker and spent her days taking care of her children.   She earned her G.E.D. in 1988.

In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, baking, and spending time attending her grandchildren's activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Robin in 1947, son David Cline in 2013; grandchildren, Jason Sammons and Natalie Kimmel-Strizich; six sisters, Azalea Boatman, Beulah Powell, Bertha Redman, Shirley Rasmussen, Elaine Peterson, and Charlotte Leonard; and son-in-law, Ron Morris.

Marcella is survived by her children, Jane (Jim) DeWitt of Washta, Iowa, Kathy (Scott) Schwaller of Storm Lake, Ted (Mary Jo) Cline of Cherokee, Iowa, Nanette Jill Morris of Ogden, Utah and Karen Louise Gravenish of Cherokee, Iowa;  17 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
