MARGUERITE E. ROULSTONE, 98, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, November 21, 2013 in Careage Hills at Cherokee.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26th, at 10:30 a.m at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee. Rev. Ethan D. Sayler will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Township Cemetery rural Meriden, Iowa. There will be a family prayer service at
10:15 a.m. at the church on Tuesday. Visitation will be on Monday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Online condolences can be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Marguerite was born on September 9, 1915 at Sioux City, Iowa to Albin & Julia (Forsburg) Carlson She graduated from Meriden Consolidated High School in 1933. She was married to Earl "Mike" Roulstone on November 23, 1933 at Sioux City, Iowa. She was a homemaker. She had been a resident of Cherokee since 1982, prior to this in Meriden for 10 years and before that on a farm in Liberty Township. She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church. Marguerite enjoyed bowling, playing bridge and exercising.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on February 7, 1989, 4 brothers Martin, Stanley, Glenn and Lyle Carlson, and one great grandson Michael Roulstone.

She is survived by one son: Jim (Alberta) Roulstone of Costa Mesa, California; 4 grandchildren: James W. Roulstone of Lafayette, Louisiana; Jean M. (Pete) Vegas of Pacific Palisades, California; Jill A. (Charles) Rivette of Richmond, Texas; Julia L. (Mark) Strathmann of Maui, Hawaii; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
