Mark was born on February 2, 1958 to James C. and Ardythe (Schaller) Dunn at Cherokee, Iowa. He attended Meriden-Cleghorn Schools, graduating in 1976.
He was united in marriage on April 4, 1987 to Shari DeForest in Cherokee, Iowa.
Mark worked various jobs including, Schutt Construction, VT Industries in Holstein, Tyson Foods, Fareway, Casey's, delivering the paper on the paper route, mowing lawns, and scooping snow for people around town.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where he was very involved in several activities.
Mark loved anything to do with music of all kinds. He almost always knew the name of the song, artist and year it came out. He loved singing Karaoke, thanks to his wife, Shari. He loved his dark roast coffee. In his free time, he liked to play cards and board games. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching their activities.
Mark was our gentle giant, always so patient, understanding, kind and loving. He had some health challenges lately but always had a positive attitude saying, "I'll take it one day at a time." Mark had a wonderful faith and we know he is at peace.
