MARY FRANCES BRICKSON, 97, formerly of Alta and Aurelia, Iowa, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 11, 2009 in the Buena Vista Manor in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd at 2 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Chrokee. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Alta, Iowa. Visitation will be on Monday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee who is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences can be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

Mary Frances was born on June 14, 1911 at Alta, Iowa to William and Isabelle (White) Keister. She was a twin to Margaret Keister and also had a younger sister Bonnie Keister. The family moved to a farm near Aurelia, Iowa and Mary attended school there, graduating in 1929. She was married to Orville Brickson in 1930 and they farmed until their retirement. The remaining years were spent on an acreage near Alta and in the Buena Vista Manor in Storm Lake the past 12 years. Mary was an avid horse woman, winning many trophies along the way and was an animal lover, especially her dog "Puppy".

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orville in 1998 and her two sisters.

She leaves many fond memories to her surviving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
