MERLIN E. GRAPEVINE, 81, of Aurelia, Iowa and formerly of Galva passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Sunset Knoll Care & Rehab Center in Aurelia, Iowa

Merlin was born October 5, 1928 at Winterset, Iowa to Merlin Conrad and Laura Bell (Seeley) Grapevine. He graduated from Galva High School in 1946. He was married to Dolores Minton in October of 1961. He was an over-the-road trucker for many years. He had resided in Aurelia the past year and lived in Galva, Iowa and also Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by his children: Allen (Paula) Grapevine of Goshen, Ohio; Donald Grapevine of Richardson, Texas; Barbara (John) Irvan of Galva, Iowa; Gloria (Larry) Woodke of Schaller, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one sister Lucille Zupp of Washta, Iowa.

It was Mr. Grapevine's wishes to be cremated. There will be no services in this area. Burial of the cremation ashes will be in Ohio at a later date. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee has charge of the arrangements.
