MICHAEL W. CLARK, 72, of Cherokee, Iowa and formerly of Quimby and Washta, Iowa, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 4, 2014, at the Countryside Estates in Cherokee.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 7th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Pastor Barb Dinelli will officiate. Burial will be in the Quimby Cemetery. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday. Mike was born on December 21, 1941 at Cherokee, Iowa to Donald & Dorothy (Stroud) Clark. He attended Willow High School. He was married to Renay Jacoby on May 28, 1966 in Buffalo, New York. He had worked at Simonsen's Inc. in Quimby, as a janitor in the Quimby & Washta Schools, drove truck at different times over the years, worked maintenance at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee and was pharmacy driver for HyVee. He was a member of the Washta United Methodist Church. Mike was a lifelong New York Yankees fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Renay of Cherokee, Iowa; his two children: Jeanine Clark of Cherokee, Iowa; Sean (Tara) Clark and their children McKenzie & Connor of Bayside, Wisconsin; a sister Marilyn (Bob) Hantsbarger of Schaller, Iowa
