MICHAEL R. DAILEY, 69, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Unity Point Health in Sioux City, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Boothby Funeral Home located at 207 E. Main Street, Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Jane Johnston will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Michael was born on April 25, 1957 to George W. and Elaine (Flipsey Parks) Dailey Jr. in South Dakota. He graduated from Sutherland High School in the Class of 1975. He was united in marriage on July 3, 1976 to Cindy Robinson. He worked for Heg Painting and Mongan Painting for 30 years and then GCC for 8 years before retiring in January 2025.

He was an avid fisherman, enjoying time on the lake fishing. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dan Dailey.

Michael is survived by his wife, Cindy Dailey of Cherokee, Iowa and his two sons, Travis Dailey of Meriden, Iowa and John and Nena Dailey of Quimby, Iowa; two sisters Patricia Dailey or Remsen, Iowa and Deb Dailey of Calumet, Iowa.
