Michael L. Robinson, 79, of Crystal Lake, IL (formerly of Cherokee), passed away peacefully at his home on February 15, 2025.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.  Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation with the family present will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

Mike was born on April 24, 1945, to John and Violet Robinson in Marcus, where he was raised and attended school. He met the love of his life, Geraldine (Steward) Robinson in Cherokee. They married and shared 59 wonderful years together.

Mike and Gerri settled in Cherokee, where they raised their four sons and built a legacy through Robinson's Furniture and Floor Covering, a business that became a fixture in the community for over 45 years. Dedicated to his work, family, and community, Mike took great pride in serving others. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered with various community organizations.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, John and Violet Robinson of Aurelia, three brothers Melvin, John Jr., Russell, sister Bonnie, and his son, Rodney of Cherokee.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gerri (Steward) Robinson; his sons and their families: Roger and his wife, Tracy, of Bettendorf, IA, along with their son, Carter, and his fiancée, Bailey; Ron and his wife, Dana, of Crystal Lake, IL, with their children, Sophie, Nella, and Tymen; and Ryan and his wife, Elyse, of Burnsville, MN, with their children, Maggie and Michael.

Mike's legacy of love, hard work, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
