MICHAEL LEE SCHWEBACH, 34, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on September 21, 2023, at Mercy One Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Visitation with a Celebration of Life service will take place on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the service starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Mike Agnew will officiate. Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

Michael was born on July 10, 1989, in Sioux City, Iowa to Ronald and Dorothy (Barnes) Schwebach. He attended Cherokee Schools, graduating in 2007.

Michael was passionate about art, which he expressed through tattooing, himself, and others.

He had worked building bridges for Godberson Smith Construction in Ida Grove, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Schwebach in 2015, his grandfather Marvin V. Barnes in 2015, his grandparents, Sheryl and Rich Hoeppner.

Michael is survived by his father, Ronald Schwebach of Cherokee, Iowa; stepmother, Kimberly Wilson of Meriden Iowa; siblings, Matthew Schwebach of Cherokee, Iowa, Austin Schwebach of Onawa, Iowa, and Jessica Stykel and her daughter Kayla Keyser of Spencer, Iowa; his daughters Christina of Florida, Emersyn of California and Raelynn of Minnesota; Grandmother Lois Barnes of Primghar, Iowa; also, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
