NANCY M.  JOHNSON , 72 of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Saturday morning, June 8, 2019 in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening June 13 ^th , at 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Mark Leeds will officiate. Burial will be in the Cedar Cemetery at Larrabee, Iowa at a later date. Nancy was born on February 6, 1947 at Cherokee, Iowa to Glen D. & Romaine (Grove) Anderson. She graduated from Cherokee Washington High School in 1965. She was married to Charles Johnson June 25, 1967 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Nancy had lived in Cherokee for several years and prior to this had lived in Ida Grove, Wall Lake, and Arthur, Iowa.

She had worked for Swezey's Hamburger Shop, Alfs Manufacturing in Storm Lake, Iowa, Cookies Barbeque Sauce in Wall Lake, Iowa and had also worked with Connections for many years feeding the Senior Citizens.

Nancy was a member of the Heritage Bible Church in Cherokee. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, and attending Women's Bible Study Group.

She was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Romaine Anderson, two nephews David and Steven Leeds.

She is survived by her husband Charles of Cherokee, Iowa; one daughter: Angela K. Gaskins of Holstein, Iowa; two grandchildren: Skyler Hohbach and her husband Zach of Paullina, Iowa; Dylan Gaskins and his wife Heaven of Holstein, Iowa; eight great grandchildren: Jr, Bryson, Avery, Hadley, Jaxson, Nevaeh, Coleson, and Lane; one sister: Jeneen Leeds and her husband Lewis of Cherokee, Iowa.
