NICHOLAS MICHAEL FLORINE, 33, of rural Cherokee, Iowa went home to be with the Lord Christmas Eve as a result of a car accident.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 31st, at 11 a.m. at the Meriden Evangelical Free Church. Pastor Larry Ostercamp will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday, December 30th from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee with the family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. On line condolences may be left at www.bnoothby funeral.com

Nick was born May 9, 1980- in Cherokee, Iowa to Ed and Janet (Rabe) Florine. At the time of his death he lived in rural Cherokee and worked at Cherokee Cold Storage. Nick enjoyed being outdoors, riding his motorcycle or 4-wheeler in the summer and snowmobile in the winter. He loved his nieces and giving them rides. Nick loved to help anyone who needed help.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert Florine and Paul Rabe., an uncle Jim Florine.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Ed Florine and Janet Florine, both of Cherokee;a brother Chad Florine and his wife Nicole of Marcus, Iowa; grandmothers Frances Florine of Sutherland, Iowa and Marjorie Rabe of Cherokee, Iowa; nieces Tayler & Lana Florine, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
