Obituary

NORMAN  WAYNE  BIBLER, 89 , of Waverly, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Clarksville Nursing Home in Clarksville, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 25 th , at 2 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Burial of the cremains will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time at Boothby Funeral Home. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa is assisting the family with the arrangements. Norman was born on December 25, 1932 to Clarence J. and Bessie (Mason) Bibler at rural Larrabee, Iowa.  He attended Waterman #5 School at Sutherland, Iowa and then graduated from Linn Grove Consolidated High School.  Norman was united in marriage to Marlene Keck on June 29, 1950. He was later married to Lois Reinken-Stetzel on August 23, 1973.

He worked as a farmer, electric line manager/superintendent and salesman of electric utilities.  He retired in May of 2008.

Norman was affiliated with the Methodist Church.  He was a member of the Iowa Municipal Utilities and the Elks Club.

Norman enjoyed traveling, coin collecting, outdoor grilling, and riding his scooter around town.  He liked to watch sporting events, especially the Minnesota Vikings and the Waverly-Shell Rock Go Hawks. He loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bessie Bibler and his two brothers Gerald and Harold Bibler, son-in-law Rick Holliday

Norman is survived by his wife, Lois of Waverly, Iowa; his children, Lonnie (LuAnne) Bibler of Waverly, Iowa; Barry (Helen) Bibler of Spearfish, South Dakota; Robert M. Bibler (Cyndi) of Waterloo, Iowa; David C. (Ginny) Bibler of Clarksville, Iowa; Lisa Holliday of LaCrosse, Indiana; Lynn Sharlyn of Shell Rock, Iowa; 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
