PAMELA KAY PIERCE, 66, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, November 22, 2023 at her residence with her husband and family by her side.

Public visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.  Private family memorial services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Pam's name to the Sanford Museum in Cherokee, Iowa.

Pam was born on August 3, 1957 in Boscobel, Wisconsin to Raymond and Donna (Wentz) Sitts.  She attended Boscobel Schools, graduating in 1975.  She attended Fennimore Vocational School, where she earned a bookkeeping degree.

Pam was united in marriage to Mark Pierce on August 25, 1979 at Boscobel, Wisconsin.

Pam worked for the City of Cherokee as the Deputy City Clerk from 1980 until she resigned in 1996 to work full-time with Mark in their growing company, Builders Sharpening.  Pam retired on July 29, 2022.

Pam served as a trustee for the Sanford Museum, soil commissioner for ASCS and belonged to Business and Professional Women's group in Cherokee.

In her free time, she loved to paint nature scenes and her flower beds kept her busy in the spring and summertime.  She loved sitting at the cabin watching wildlife and the beautiful sunsets.  Pam adored her nieces and nephews and always enjoyed doing arts and craft projects with them when they came to visit in the summer.  Fishing was always fun, especially when there was trout in the pond.  She cherished her time with Mark and loved tagging along on all of his hunting trips.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond and stepfather, Mac Axe.

Pam will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 44 years, Mark Pierce of Cherokee, Iowa; mother Donna Axe of Sweetwater, Texas; brother Michael (Marlene) Sitts of Breckenridge, Texas; sister Donita (Loren) Achenbach of Sweetwater, Texas; 19 nieces and nephews.
