PATRICK J. CAREY JR., 64, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, formerly of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at his residence in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Patrick was born on July 30, 1958 to Patrick Carey and Lovon (Ripka) Carey at Cherokee, Iowa.  He attended Sioux Valley Schools at Peterson-Linn Grove.

He worked as a painter for various construction companies and at Pure Fishing in Spirit Lake.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sheila Carey, and two great great nephews.

He is survived by his siblings, Dixie (Joe) Draper of Cherokee, Iowa, Rick Gilbert of Bothel, Washington, Mary Carey of Cherokee, Iowa and Johnray Hall of Cherokee, Iowa; also several nieces and nephews.
