PEGGY J.  GRASHOFF , 83, of Aurelia, Iowa, passed away Monday morning, October 28, 2019 in Accura Healthcare in Aurelia, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 1 ^st at 2 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Rev. Cris Decious will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Aurelia, Iowa. There will be a family prayer service at 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 31 ^st , from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home. Peggy was born on November 12, 1935 at Cherokee, Iowa to Prentiss & Helen (Luce) Waddell. She attended Cherokee Schools. She was married to Boyd A. Grashoff on February 14, 1954 at Cherokee, Iowa. She and her husband lived on a farm in Spring Township for many years until moving to Aurelia, where they had lived the past 19 years.

Peggy had worked at Hope's Fashion Farm for several years and at Godberson's Clothing in Ida Grove, Iowa. She enjoyed painting and artwork, entering several of her pieces in the county fair and receiving many ribbons for them. She loved spending time with her family and socializing with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Waddell, father and step-mother Prentiss and Charlotte Waddell; sister Sharon Waddell and brother Ronny Waddell, three sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.

She is survived by her husband Boyd of Aurelia, Iowa; three daughters: Debra (Jim) Florke of Kearney, Nebraska; Vicki Reinert of Mason City, Iowa; Lesa (Kevin) Sump of Gilbert, Arizona; five grandchildren: April (Michael) Buterbaugh, Tiffany Christensen, Jeremy (Taylor) Florke, Ashley (Jamie) Bernu, Shelby (Joe) Pohlman; eight grandchildren; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Russell (Doris) Grashoff of Cherokee, Iowa and Karol White of Cherokee, Iowa; also several nieces, nephews and many friends.
