PRISCILLA H. DOUPE, 76, of Council Bluffs, Iowa and former Littleton, Colorado resident, passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26th, at 10 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Rev. Doug Corlew of Alta, Iowa will officiate. Priscilla was born on September 17, 1932 at Cleghorn, Iowa to George & Harriet (Hazen) French. She graduated from Cleghorn High School. She was married to Lee E. Doupe on February 14, 1951 at Cleghorn, Iowa. She had made her home in Littleton, Colorado for many years and resided in Council Bluffs near her daughter the past 18 months. Priscilla had worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of the Faith Community Church in Littleton, Colorado. She belonged to the Red Hatters in Littleton, Colorado. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and liked to share what she had cooked with others along with her friendship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee on July 19, 2001, a brother and sister-in-law Jim & Judy French.
She is survived by a daughter Glenda Doupe of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Teri Doupe of Chillicothe, Missouri; John and Heidi Doupe of Littleton, Colorado, along with four grandsons, Robert D. & Alyson Doupe of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Adam Doupe of Chillicothe, Missouri; Nathan & Stephanie Doupe of Chillicothe, Missouri; Aaron Doupe of Littleton, Colorado; 4 great grandchildren: Codi, Dakota, Cheyanne and Summer; sisters and brothers: Dorothy Doupe of Iowa Falls, Iowa; Virginia & Rodney Brockman of St. Charles, Illinois; Ann & Robert Rowland of Carroll, Iowa; Tom & Linda French of Alta, Iowa; Steve & Wanda French of Forsyth, Missouri; Becky & Lee Meyer of Alta, Iowa, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
