RANDY  W.  MEYER , 64, of Quimby, Iowa passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa due to complications of Covid-19.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor David Doellinger will officiate. Burial will be in the Quimby Cemetery. There will be a family prayer service at 10:45 a.m. at the church on Saturday. Visitation will be on Friday, August 6 ^th from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Randy was born on January 17, 1957 at Cherokee, Iowa to William & Frances (Stieneke) Meyer. He graduated from Willow High School in 1975. He attended Iowa State University for one year and then Western Iowa Tech graduating with an Electronics Degree. Randy was married to Beth Hedinger (Bruns) on July 25, 1992 in Quimby, Iowa.

Randy had worked for Lyle Booth Sound as a Roadie for 15 years; had worked at Terra Chemical in Quimby; he owned his own DJ Business with Kirby Morrow for many years, and for the last 33 years had been working at Staples Promotional Wear in Orange City, Iowa.

Randy was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Quimby, Iowa. He enjoyed music, gardening, computers, playing with his dogs Watson, Scooby and Louie; his big soup making fest each fall and spending time with his girls and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, a daughter Amanda in 2000, granddaughters Grace and Kimber Jo, and a sister-in-law Lanise Nissen.

He is survived by his wife Beth of Quimby, Iowa; three daughters and twelve grandchildren: Ashley Hanson of Cushing, Iowa and her children Calix, Cambree and Kinzey; Abbey (Justin) Christoffel of West Branch, Iowa and their children Logan, Hunter, Emerson and Parker; Emily (Aaron) Bowder of Missouri Valley, Iowa and their children Matthew, Ricky, Annabeth, Seth and Katelynn; his sister Rhonda Meyer (Patrick) of Rock Springs, Wyoming; niece Tracey (Rod) Glissmann and their children Jarrod (Randi), Scott (Cameron), and Brett;  niece Jaime Miller (Jason) of Sterling, Colorado and their children Alex and Audrey; nephew Shawn (Kristina) McCalvey of Rock Springs, Wyoming and their son Xander; Randy's extended family include: mother-in-law Beverly Hedinger; father-in-law Frank Hedinger; brothers-in-law: Joe (Jennifer) Hedinger, Jeff (Lynn) Hedinger, James (Melissa) Hedinger, Richard (Jessica) Hedinger; extended family on the Bruns side: April (Dan) Krull, Crystal (Michael) Van Ravenswaay, Brad (Vickie) Bruns, Shawn (Dawn) George, Richard Nissen; mother-in-law and father-in-law Connie and James George; Cindy (Stan) Reimers Wall, Jason (Wendy) Reimers; also many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
