RICHARD J. "DICK" GEISINGER , 81, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Larry Ostercamp will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Dick was born on October 19, 1941 to Arlo and Ruth (Biggins) Geisinger at Storm Lake, Iowa. He attended Storm Lake schools, graduating in 1961 from Storm Lake High School.

Dick was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Steffen on September 22, 1962, together they had two sons, Rick and Rod. He worked for Wilson's in Cherokee for 30 years as a Dock Supervisor, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee, Iowa.

Dick loved spending time with his family and friends. He liked to ride his motorcycle, going camping and wood working. He enjoyed playing golf, keeping himself busy working in his garage, and his grandkids always looked forward to his malts. Dick always enjoyed a Seagram's at the end of his day.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlo and Ruth Geisinger, and a grandson, Matthew Geisinger.

Dick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Barb Geisinger of Cherokee, Iowa; two sons, Rick (Renee) Geisinger of Lakeville, Minnesota and Rod (Angie) Geisinger of Colo, Iowa; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, Jessica Geisinger, Alexander (Jess) Geisinger and their sons, Owen and Hudson, Katelynn (Michael) Swanson and their sons, Micah and Malachi, and Allison (Logan) Arends and their daughter, Adeline; brother, David (Sandra) Geisinger.
