ROBERT DEAN CLARK, 87, of rural Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Monday morning, January 8, 2018 in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.

Robert was born September 6, 1930 at Cherokee, Iowa to Robert John & Fern (Clark) Clark. He graduated from Quimby High School in 1948 and then attended Wayne State College for a short time. He was married to Marcia Veek on May 17, 1953 at Onawa, Iowa. Robert farmed most of his life and had also worked at Kmart in Cherokee for 15 years being head of receiving. He retired in 1995. He lived on a farm in Rock Township all his life. He was one of the founders of the Quimby Town and Country Club and had served as president for six years. He had been a Rock Township Trustee and was on the Rock Township Election Board for several years. Robert enjoyed golfing in his younger years, working with the Quimby Youth Little League Baseball team, reading books, and mowing the grass on his riding lawn mower.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Kelly Ann Clark Garvin and a great grandson Damion Clark.
He is survived by his wife Marcia, four sons: Kirt (Robin) Clark of Moreno, California; Brad Clark of Quimby, Iowa; Brian Clark of Indiana; Evan Clark of California; a son-in-law George Garvin of Meriden, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
