Robin Jill McCoy
August 31, 1964 - January 27, 2025
Robin Jill McCoy, age 60, went home to be with the Lord on January 27, 2025, at Careage Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Cherokee, Iowa. Robin was born on August 31, 1964, in Des Moines, Iowa.
She is survived by her father, Harold McCoy of Indianola, Iowa; her mother, Linda Baxendale of Crane, Missouri; siblings: Robert McCoy (Misty) of Osceola, Iowa, Dustin Armstrong (Mandy) of Galena, Missouri, Katina Dunn (Matt) of Crane, Missouri, and Hilary McCoy of Osceola, Iowa, as well as many other extended family and friends.
In addition to her immediate family, Robin's heart was full of love for her very dear friend, Arturo, who was a constant source of love, support, and joy in her life.
Robin was a precious, loving daughter, sister, and friend. She loved animals, birds, and flowers and had many that she nurtured with care and dedication. Known for her mothering heart, Robin ran a daycare for several years, where she used her gifts to teach, encourage, and lovingly care for children. She had a natural ability to help young minds grow, and many will forever remember her as a guiding and loving presence in their lives.
Robin was a woman of incredible strength and determination. Even in the face of a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease, she fought with unwavering courage and a fierce will to live right down to the very last moment. Every day she would speak over herself, "Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better and better." Her resilience in the final years of her life inspired all of those who knew her, showing everyone the true meaning of perseverance.
Robin's smile was as warm and inviting as her heart, her laugh was contagious, and her eyes sparkled with a mischievous twinkle that reflected her fun loving, ornery spirit.
Her kindness left a lasting impact on everyone and her love grew beautiful things. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Robin will be cremated, and while no services are planned at this time, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
