Obituary
ROGER ALAN NIXON, 55, of Ankeny, Iowa, formerly of Cherokee passed away at his residence on December 21, 2010.
Roger was born February 9, 1955 at Logan, Iowa to Monas & Myrtle (Sapp) Nixon. He graduated from Cherokee Washington High School. He had worked for Pizza Hut in Des Moines for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother Myrtle Nixon of Cherokee, Iowa; siblings: Clark Nixon and his wife Rose of Cherokee, Iowa; Byron Nixon of Sunnyvale, California; Brian Nixon of Los Angeles, California; Karen Goetzinger and her husband Mike of Martin, South Dakota; also several nieces and nephews.
Roger's remains were cremated and there will be no services at this time. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee is assisting the family with arrangements.
