SALLY M. PETERS, 80, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at her home in Cherokee, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Boothby Funeral Home-Greenwood-Schubert Chapel in Cherokee, Iowa. Further details will be available soon. Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com
Sally was born on March 24, 1946 to Delphis and Violet (Counter) Brouillette at Westfield, Iowa. She attended Westfield Schools. She was united in marriage to Ronald Peters on July 28, 1967. She was a stay at home mom to their four children, Jay, Todd, Marc, and Apryl. She also worked for the Cherokee Daily Times and Hy-Vee Distribution Center in Cherokee.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Cherokee Senior Center Art Club. She was very artistic and enjoyed art, painting, cooking, taking care of pets, and collecting dolls and hats. She loved a good deal and often went to garage sales and auctions. She looked forward to spending a week at the Clay County Fair in Spencer, staying every year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald in 2020, sister Ellen March, brother Peter Brouillette, and infant brother David Brouillette.
Sally is survived by her four children, Jay and Rubi Peters of Luverne, Minnesota, Todd and Corinne Peters of Cherokee, Iowa, Marc Peters of Alton, Iowa, and Apryl Lucius of Cherokee, Iowa; five grandchildren Cara Peters of Alton, Iowa, Nicole Peters of Cherokee, Iowa, Joshua Peters of Cherokee, Iowa, Anthony Magnuson of Goldthwaite, Texas and Elizabeth Magnuson of Luverne, Minnesota; three great grandchildren and one great grandcat, Sprinkles; siblings Violet Husk of Westfield, Iowa, Elsie Voss of Clear Lake Oaks, California, and Richard Brouillette of Elgin, Illinois; also many nieces and nephews.
