SHERRY R. MORITZ, 58 , of Marcus, Iowa, passed away on Sunday morning, November 13, 2022, at her residence.

Sherry was born in Long Beach, California on January 14, 1964 to Eugene and Bertha (Jenkins) Weiland.  She attended Willow Community Schools, graduating in 1982.  She attended Western Iowa Tech Community College.

Sherry was married to Terry Moritz on May 29, 1987.  She worked at K-Products for several years and also at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars as an admitting clerk. She retired in May 2021.

Sherry loved decorating for the change of seasons and anything that involved her grandkids.  She loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Weiland; father-in-law, George F. Moritz Jr., sister-in-law, Michaela Moritz, and brother-in-law, John Mai.

Left to cherish Sherry's memory is her husband, Terry Moritz of Marcus, Iowa; children, Corey (Becca) Moritz of Marcus, Iowa, Brooke Moritz (Matt Ankenman) of Humboldt, Iowa; 10  grandchildren,  Brittany (Blayne) Thelen, Braxton Rutledge, Kallie Moritz, Kora Moritz, Mallory Ankenman, Cohen Hohbach, Kaysen Ankenman, Klayten Ankenman, Myles Miller, and Corbin Miller; one great grandson, Jasper Thelen; father, Eugene Weiland; sisters,  Kim (Mark) Cronin of Marcus, Iowa and Shelly (Kelly) Cronin of Remsen, Iowa; mother-in-law, Joan Moritz of Marcus, Iowa; sister-in-law, Debbie Whitely of LeMars, Iowa and Sherrie Mai of Struble, Iowa; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dave (Kim) Moritz of Cortez, Colorado, Tim (Becky) Limoges of Onawa, Iowa, and Gary (Sheri) Moritz of Humboldt, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews.
