STEVEN M. GRAFF, 71 , of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Visitation and a time of sharing memories will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Steve was born on July 26, 1951 to Paul and Mary Belle "Pat" (Jones) Graff at Sac City, Iowa. He worked for Wilson Foods, Continental Deli, and then Tyson Foods before retiring in the fall of 2014.

In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, being outside, taking care of his apple trees, playing dominoes, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepson, Brian Ellis,  brother, Larry Graff , father-in-law and  mother-in-law, Percy and Susie Ellis, and  sister-in-law, Cynthia Foust.

Steve is survived by his paramour, Peg Ellis of Cherokee, Iowa; stepson, Shane Ellis of Moville, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Angie (Darin) Bruce of Aurelia, Iowa; grandchildren: Jacob and Ashley Bruce and their children, Avery, Grady, Cully, and Pacey; Jared and Molly Bruce and their daughter, Aubrey of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Aaron Bruce of Estherville, Iowa; Courtney Bruce of Aurelia, Iowa;  Mercedes Ellis and Chloe Ellis; two sisters, Darla Weiland of Truesdale, Iowa and Chris (Kevin) Weifenbach of Storm Lake, Iowa; brother-in-law, Tom Ellis of Storm Lake, Iowa, sister-in-law, Pam Bruning of Holstein, Iowa and  Sharon Hoffman of Anaheim, California; also several nieces and nephews.
