TERESA M. DALTON, 60, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Tuesday evening, March 28, 2017 in Unity Point Health-St. Luke's in Sioux City, Iowa.

Visitation with the family present will be held on Saturday, April 15th, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. with a prayer service to follow at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. It was Teresa's wish to be cremated. Burial of the cremains will be in the Sunset View Cemetery at Washta, Iowa at a later date. Teresa was born on August 6, 1956 at Marcus, Iowa to Carl & Dolores (Kass) Letsche. She attended Marcus Schools and later attained her G.E.D. She was married to Donald Dalton on August 2, 1986 in Kingsley, Iowa. She had worked for Dwight Moats in Marcus, Iowa for about ten years and then for Wilson Foods in Cherokee for several years. She was currently working in the Laundry Department at Accura Healthcare where she had been employed the last 17 years. Teresa had been a resident of Cherokee since 1981. She enjoyed doing ceramics, painting, watching Nascar and her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. She liked to spend time in the sun and float around in her backyard pool with a bottle of Diet Mountain Dew. Family was very important to Teresa and she loved spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law Eddie Dalton and a brother-in-law Dale Dalton.

She is survived by her husband Donald; three children and five grandchildren: Jennifer Stoltenberg Sisemore of Algona, Iowa and special friend Don Phipps and her children Cody, Austin and Alyssa; Christopher Stoltenberg of Wannaska, Minnesota and his children Marc and Sidney; Jesse Dalton of Cherokee, Iowa and his fiancé Brittany Radcliffe and their fur babies Bodie, Mya and Gunner; her siblings: Jerome (Charlene) Letsche of Marcus, Iowa; Fern (Jack) Clarkson of Marcus, Iowa; Charlie (Jackie) Letsche of Cherokee, Iowa; Arnie (Pat) Letsche of Denton, Texas; her mother-in-law: Collene Dalton of Washta, Iowa and special friend Larry Long; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Doug (Tammy) Dalton of Cherokee, Iowa; Danny Dalton of Quimby, Iowa; Debie (Tyson) Stevenson of Quimby, Iowa; also many nieces, nephews and friends.
