TERRY  LEE  CARLSON , 60, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Sunday morning, April 3, 2022 in Careage Hills at Cherokee, Iowa.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 20 ^th , at 10:30 a.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, Iowa.  Visitation and a time of sharing memories with the family present will be held on Tuesday evening, April 19 ^th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Terry was born on January 24, 1962 at Denison, Iowa to Albin R. & Sheila (Carroll) Carlson. He had worked for his father in the construction business for many years, had worked at the Pizza Hut in Cherokee, and had been the maintenance worker at Autumn Park Apartments for several years.

He enjoyed collecting Nascar memorabilia. He had lived in the Cherokee area most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father Albin Carlson, his mother Sheila Sullivan, grandparents Kenneth and Mary Hanson, Viola Quandt

He is survived by his partner of several years: Anna Wilson of Cherokee, Iowa;  children: Amanda Sinyard of Idaho Falls, Idaho; David Lawson of California; grandchildren: Alayna Sinyard, Jason Sinyard, Mara Lawson, Landon McGuire, step-mother: Mary Carlson of Cherokee, Iowa;  brothers: Danny (Melissa) Carlson of Russellville, AR; Doug (Denice) Carlson of Russellville, AR; Russ Carlson of Russellville, AR; Tom Carlson of Russellville, AR; Stacey Carlson (Collette Hatch) of Sac City, IA; Albin Carlson Jr. of Cherokee, IA; his extended children and their families: Shanda Tarbill of Storm Lake, Iowa; Jeff (Sara) Yohe of North Carolina; Jeremy Yohe of Cherokee, Iowa, Whisper Tarbill, Angus Tarbill, Xavier Tarbill Murphy and Ivy Tarbill Bunkers;  his best friend Chad Reusch of Quimby, Iowa; also several nieces, nephews and other friends.
