THOMAS  A.  GREEN, 72, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at Accura Healthcare in Cherokee, Iowa.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, Iowa.  Pastor Jonathan Riggert will officiate.    The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa is assisting the family with the arrangements. Thomas was born on November 5, 1952 at Mitchell, South Dakota to Lorin F. and Esther (Stahl) Green. He graduated from Meriden-Cleghorn High School in 1971. He was married to Denise Bechtel in August of 1975 in Cherokee, Iowa.  They were later divorced. He had worked for Wilson's Foods in Cherokee for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce Mueller, brother Donald "Blue" Green, sister Gloria Green in infancy, brother-in-law Butch Putzier, brother-in-law Loras Little, niece Wendy Putzier Reynolds, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by two daughters: Tana (Matt) Beattie of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; Laura (Tony) Horton of Cherokee, Iowa; 7 grandchildren: Charlie, Matalyn, Henry and Maggie Beattie; Durks, Mitchell and Matson Horton; four sisters: Kathy Putzier of Dekalb, Texas; Beverly (Robert) Mahler of Cherokee, Iowa; Jan (Brien) Mohlis of Fairbank, Iowa; Denise Little of Fairbank, Iowa.
