THOMAS J. "TOM" KELLER, 63, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Saturday afternoon November 7, 2015 in the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 14th, at 11 a.m. at the Cherokee Community Center, upper level. Mr. Mark Leeds will officiate. Tom's remains were cremated and there will be no visitation. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee is assisting the family with the arrangements. Tom was born on September 27, 1952 at LeMars, Iowa to James Earl & Lavon Irene (Miller) Keller. He graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1970. He had worked at Cherokee Wilson Foods for many years until he had to retire due to his health. He had lived in Cherokee for many years and prior to this had lived in Quimby, Iowa. He was a member of the Heritage Bible Church in Cherokee. For many years Tom has helped raise money for the Needy Children's Christmas Auction. Tom enjoyed reading his bible, charity work, bowling, fishing, watching wrestling and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Michael Keller, and several beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He is survived by his two children: Naomi Keller and her boyfriend Steve of Cherokee, Iowa; Michael Keller and his wife Cassandra of Ft. Pierce, Florida; 3 grandchildren: Eden Skye Keller, Gianna and Goldie Keller; his siblings: Joell Sullivan of Sioux City, Iowa; Nancy Peters of LeMars, Iowa; William Keller of Storm Lake, Iowa; Wally Keller of Storm Lake, Iowa; Charlotte Wolfgang and her husband Kenny of Aurelia, Iowa; also several nieces and nephews and many friends.
