TIMOTHY A. "TIM" BLOOM, 70 , of Cherokee, Iowa, formerly of Storm Lake, passed away on Friday, January 14 ,2022 at Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Mark Leeds will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home with the service to follow. Burial will be at a later date. Tim was born on December 11, 1951 to Gilbert and Doris (Peterson) Bloom at Estherville, Iowa. He married Catherine Archer on December 20, 1975 at Storm Lake, Iowa. He worked for Tyson Foods in Storm Lake, Iowa for 28 years as a shag driver, before retiring in 2018.
Tim loved to hunt, especially deer and also enjoyed fishing in his later years. He liked playing bingo and going to the casino. He liked to watch television and spend time with his dog, Snoopy.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, William and Doris Deal, father Gilbert Bloom, half-sister Renie Patterson, step-brothers Michael Deal and William Deal, and step-sister Sheri Deal.
Left to lovingly remember Tim are his wife Catherine of Cherokee, Iowa; son Cory Bloom of Cherokee, Iowa; granddaughter Carly Sanders of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brother Ray Bloom of Monroe, Washington; half-sister Betty Jo Campbell of Armstrong, Iowa; sister-in-law Val Deal of Cherokee, Iowa; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Douglas (Sue Zwemke) Archer of Newell, Iowa, Richard (Rhonda) Archer of Bricelyn, Minnesota, David (Joy) Archer of Lakeside, Iowa, Gary Archer of Schaller, Iowa; Steven Archer of Kansas City, Missouri, and Barry (Ann) Shumate of Dow City, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.
