Wyatt Scott Sumner gained his angel wings while in the arms of his loving parents, and surrounded by family and friends on September 27, 2017. Wyatt was born on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 10:06 p.m. to parents Matthew and Melanie Sumner at Mercy Hospital of Oklahoma City. He weighed 6 pounds and was 19.5 long. He was the answer to his parent's prayers, even though his time on Earth was brief it was truly a blessing and filled with unconditional love. Wyatt will remain in our hearts until we are able to hold him again in Heaven one day.

Wyatt is survived by his parents Matthew and Melanie Sumner of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Paternal grandparents Douglas and Carol Sumner of Stillwater, OK. Maternal grandparents James and Peggy Corrington of Cherokee, Iowa. Maternal great grandmothers Sally Corrington and Mary Lampman, both of Cherokee, Iowa. Cousins Pyper and Ella Taylor of Aberdeen, South Dakota. Aunts and Uncles Willie and Hollie Taylor of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Heather Sumner of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Thomas and Annie Corrington of St. Joseph, Missouri. Wyatt will also be remembered by numerous extended family members and friends.

Wyatt is preceded in death by his great grandparents Melvin and Margaret Sumner, Marilyn Avery, Robert Corrington, and Scott (Dan) Lampman.

A private graveside service will be held for family and friends at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, Iowa.
